* Specifications
The Hydro-Probe SE is a digital, microwave sensor designed to measure moisture in flowing materials.
Typical applications include moisture measurement in industries that use a pressurised vessel, calandria or dryer as part of the process.
Construction :
Body : 316 Stainless Steel.
Faceplate : Ceramic.
O-Rings : EPDM.
Fixing : The sensor must be placed in the flow of material and is bolted to a flange mounting which is welded to the vessel.
Analogue Outputs :
2 Configurable 0 to 20mA or 4 to 20mA current loop source available for moisture and temperature.
May also be converted to 0 to 10V DC.
Digital Inputs/Output :
2 configurable digital signals are provided for batch average start/stop or for moisture/temperature multiplexing purposes.
Digital (Serial) Communications :
Opto-Isolated RS485 2-Wire port.
Uses Hydro-Com communications protocol for read/write access to sensor parameters and values.
Ethernet and USB interfaces are also available.
Material Penetration : Approximately 75 to 100mm material dependant.
Environmental :
Pressure : Full vacuum(-1) to 5 Bar gauge.
Electronics Section Protection : IP67.
Measurement Range :
Moisture : 0 to 100% material dependant.
Brix : >50º Bx : For Brix, the sensor will measure between 101 Brix and approximately 50 Brix.
Operating Temperature :
Faceplate : 0 to 100°C
Materials Section : 0 to 125ºC.
Intermittent : 120 °C for Short Periods (i.e. Clean in Place(CIP) Cycles).
Electronics Section : 0 to 60ºC.
The sensor will not measure ice.
Refresh Rate : Outputs are updated 25 times per second.
Connections :
The sensor is fitted with a 10-way MIL-SPEC connector.
A 4, 10 or 25 metre, 6 twisted pair cable pre-assembled for connection to a waterproof junction box is available.
Power Supply : +15Vdc to +30Vdc. 4W
